The Links at Challedon - A Tale of Two Nines

First tournament of the year of the Golfweek AM Tour. The Links at Challedon in beautiful but remote Mt. Airy, MD. Remote meaning it was a hefty 1.25 hour drive from my house. The theme of this round: A Tale of Two Nines...  It was a round that provided enough entertainment to inspire the best and worst of writers. To paraphrase Charles Dickens: It was the best of nines, it was the worst of nines, but not in that order... Suffice to say I salvaged a good round but could have done so much better. Preparation: 1) I managed to show up a full 30 minutes before my tee time. Enough time for me to hit a few wedges, long irons, hybrids, and my driver 2) Didn't get to chip around the practice green (that would bite me later) 3) Did get to roll a few putts Hole by hole (Gold Tees): 1) Par 5. Booming drive to the right rough, rough was not penal so I got a hefty 4-Wood on the ball, landing a mere 20 yards from the green. Hit a nice but not great lob wedge to 15 feet. S...
