Over Two Years to Catch Up On!

It has been roughly 654 days since my last post. Quite a lot has happened since then...

1) I have played 51 rounds of golf, not including scrambles, 9 hole rounds, and trunk slams. I also finished second in a tournament!

Best Tournament Round to Date! Four Birdies! (and one Triple...)

2) Two of my favorite golf courses closed for good. Cannon Ridge and Virginia Oaks
For all the Golf Courses in that Gangsta Lean...

3) Attended the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale

Royal Birkdale #18, Nice Clubhouse!

4) The Philadelphia Eagles (FINALLY) won the Super Bowl!

FLY EAGLES FLY!

5) A royal wedding randomly happened while the wife and I were in London

Hey, my name is Harry too!

6) Got to see Hamilton!
The irony of course is seeing it in London...

7) And last, but definitely not least. We had a boy!

Isn't he the cutest!

Suffice to say, its been a hectic and eventful couple of years! While my priorities have definitely changed, it is still my goal to become a scratch golfer one day. It will just take a back seat to becoming the best husband and father I can be.

So at the beginning of the 2019 golf season, I will definitely be playing fewer rounds, but I resolve to make those rounds count by:

1) Studying: Mike MalaskaRotary Swing, Revolution Golf

2) Drilling: Honing the craft in the basement while the wife and son are still sleeping!

3) Working Out: Four Days a week at Anytime Fitness

4) Short Game: Carving out 30 minutes a day three times a week to chip and putt on some real grass, even if it's in my suit and tie!

5) Logging and Blogging. I've been an analyst too long not to recognize the importance of data. So I'll be using this platform to log my progress in golf, as well as life. The format will change slightly to a simpler format to encourage daily updates.

The Journey Continues!

Next Stop: Lake Ridge Park Golf Course.
