Coronavirus Diaries Day 53 - As if we needed more reasons not to go outside...

I've basically stopped watching the news. Not that it's all depressing, but there are some stories that just do nothing but raise my blood pressure... Albert Einstein once said, "The only difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits."

My main form of news is Twitter, because I still have a random shot of getting some good news and a couple of cute pictures. But every now and again you come across something that just makes you question reality. This week's mindbender, Murder Hornets...

You're Honestly Kidding Me!
Better known as Asian Giant Hornets, they are the world's largest hornets. These "insects" (little flying monsters) can grow up to two inches long and are capable of slaughtering entire colonies of bees and even killing people. And where have they landed? WASHINGTON EFFING STATE!

But just when you thought you were safe on the east coast, guess who's coming to dinner?
Can I bring 100,000,000 of my closest friends to dinner????
That's right, Swarmageddon 2020 is coming... Those pesky 17 year Cicadas are set to invade. Shut all of your windows and find your white noise machines... So a hidden benefit of having to wear masks is that a cicada won't fly into your mouth.

So enough of the disturbing entomology. For the week in review:

1) GOLF COURSES ARE OPEN AGAIN!! More specifically the ones that are within a 10 minute drive to my house. With any luck I can sweet talk my lovely wife into letting me play (without a savage guilt trip). But if I see a murder hornet....

2) Binge of the week: Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. I watched one episode and 5 hours later I was still watching it. It has everything, geeks, music, clever characters, and writing that makes you slap your knee and pull your heart strings. The wife and I will be finishing it by tomorrow!

3) Mother's Day is Sunday. Mail a card, send flowers, GIVE HER A CALL!!!

4) Latest Obsession: Golf Clash. That's right, if you can't play golf, play Golf Clash! I will admit, it does teach me about course management, balancing risk and reward, and the importance of having the right tools! Try not to spend too much time!!

Until the next time people! Stay safe!
