Existential Question of the Day

 With the White House announcement urging federal workers to return to the office this fall. This begs a rather existential question:

If Zoom recalled all its workers to work in an office, would they still have Zoom meetings?

Interesting Question...

This round was brought to you by the Columbia Association and the mind of some ardent J.R.R Tolkien fans.  There are two golf courses part of the Columbia Association,  Fairway Hills and Hobbits Glen.  Anyone can play Fairway Hills, but you have to be a member of the course or the association to play Hobbits Glen.  As my Columbia Association membership was about to expire, I decided to go play the flagship course.  So Round #3 of the Memorial Day weekend was a blast.  But it also featured some rather forgettable moments, this time however, not by me :). Barber Infidelity

Credit my brother-in-law (BIL) for this great story / anecdote. "Finding a good barber is like finding a good lawyer - you gotta go to the same guy." - Ronny Chieng The story begins with my BIL getting a haircut. He goes to the same reliable barber who does a good, solid job with his hair. One day, he goes to the same barber shop, but his regular barber isn't there. So he gets his hair cut by the barber who has the station next to his regular barber. The issue, the new barber does a better job than his regular barber... So much better in fact, that my BIL has been getting his hair cut on the days his regular barber is off... Now we've entered the near-illicit domain of "barber infidelity." God Forbid You Get Splashed at a Splash Park

I took my favorite son (note only child) to the splash park today because it was hot and he loves water. No brainer from the activity perspective. So I pack a towel, wear some swim trunks and a shirt (because the abs aren't beach ready) and of course the child, and arrive at the splash park.  Deep within the recesses of the splash park were some sights to behold (and some I wished I hadn't). The air was thick with chlorine and denial. I won't delve too far into the body positivity movement but there are some parts of the body better left concealed else casual glances could turn fatal. Though my most egregious complaint stems from a single individual who was seated in a seat at the very edge of the splash pad just overlooking pair of water jets. She was reading a book and appeared to be oblivious to the commotion of overstimulated children and exasperated adults around her. One such child stopped to play at the water jets in front of the lady, only to splash her and thus aro...
